Acupuncture is a form of therapy in which fine needles are inserted into specific points on the body.

Yes. Potential risks are outlined in the consent form. The own risk about 1% is slightly bleeding and serious side effects are very rare – less than one per 10,000 treatments

Yes. There are many large studies on acupuncture, and it is statistically significantly better than placebo.  Many patients, such as headache sufferers, may expect immediate relief of symptoms.

Generally, no. However, we recommend you having routine meals, avoiding coffee 2 hours before the consultation, and choosing cloth with easy access to forearms and legs.

Acupuncture is much less painful than injections due to thin needles we use. Most people can easily tolerate it. Patients may experience acupuncture specific sensation, called Deqi. The sensation can be felt like tingling, numbness or warmth in various parts of body. The Deqi sensation normally lasts seconds

Wodonga Chinese Medicine Clinic (WCMC) is set up in September 2003. The practitioner Xuejian (James) Liu started working in Wodonga – Albury since 2000.
